The FCA and the Problem with Pricing in Financial Services
Yesterday, at the request of the MGAA, Kenneth Underhill shared his thoughts on the current work being undertaken by the FCA and Competition and Markets Authority on insurance pricing in a market briefing titled “Supercomplaints, FCA & The Problem with Pricing in Financial Services”. We are extremely grateful to the MGAA for inviting us to speak on a subject that we suspect will be exercising the minds of the insurance industry for some years to come as the FCA and the CMA deliberate the issue of fairness for consumers and (as Kenneth expressed during the Q&A session) potentially the SME market as well.
You can listen to the full presentation, with the slides, below.
We are grateful to the MGAA for allowing us to share their recording of the event.
These investigations are still at an early stage and it remains to be seen what action might be taken next by the CMA or FCA. If you would llike to have a confidential chat about the ways your own firm might become more prepared for any future action taken by the FCA, please get in touch with Kenneth Underhill or Jason Jones in complete confidence.
